Rachel Bermoy is the founder and Managing Director of Buteros, a company that was established to bridge the generational gap in the engineering industry. With a background in civil engineering, design, construction, and operations, Rachel witnessed firsthand the challenges professionals face when transitioning from qualification to industry demands. She founded Buteros in 2019 to address the need for effective mentorship and knowledge transfer, offering a solution that pairs retiring professionals with emerging talent.
The Buteros model brings together a team of retired and semi-retired experts who provide on-call technical coaching, empowering organisations to have the expertise they need to improve performance, avoid project delays, and reduce stress from training bottlenecks. Buteros has evolved from traditional 1:1 mentoring to offering a flexible service that acts as a technical Employee Assistance Program, providing continuous support to organisations.
