  • Cargo Cases & Boxes: Heavy-duty storage boxes (e.g., Pelican cases, AluBox aluminum cases, or even Wolf Pack plastic crates) are excellent for organizing gear. We can supply these and even set up tie-down points or slide-out platforms for them. Many overlanders use stackable cases for kitchen kits, recovery kits, etc. – we’ll show you options that are dustproof, waterproof and virtually indestructible. Secure them with straps or in custom cubbies and you have modular storage that can be easily moved or removed as needed.

  • Storage Bags and Organizers: Not everything needs a hard case. We also carry canvas storage bags for items like tools, first aid kits, and miscellaneous accessories. Brands like MSA 4×4 make labeled bags (for recovery gear, air hoses, etc.) that keep things tidy. Pair these with a drawer or shelf system and you’ll have a place for everything and everything in its place. We can attach MOLLE panels or organizers to the sides of drawers or the back of seats to hold these bags in an orderly fashion.

Roof Storage Options

If you’ve maxed out interior space, look upwards – the roof can carry a lot with the right accessories:

  • Roof Boxes: Similar to what you see on cars for road trips, we offer roof cargo boxes (Thule, Rhino-Rack, etc.) that can mount to your roof bars or platform rack. These lockable boxes are aerodynamic and weatherproof, great for lighter bulky items like sleeping bags, clothes, or tents. A roof box keeps gear out of the car, frees up passenger space, and can be removed when not needed. We’ll ensure the box is properly sized for your vehicle and fit it securely, including any necessary supporting crossbars or fitting kits.

  • Roof Bags: An alternative is a roof top bag – essentially a heavy-duty vinyl or canvas bag that straps to the roof rack, often expandable and collapsible. These are useful if you occasionally need extra space but don’t want a permanent box. They are usually water-resistant (some fully waterproof) and can swallow irregular items. We stock brands like Rhino or Adventure Kings for cost-effective solutions. Just load up, zip closed, and cinch it down. When empty, roll it up and stow it away.

  • Jerry Can & Gas Bottle Holders: For extended trips, we can add holders to your roof rack for jerry cans (fuel or water) and gas bottles. These keep flammable or heavy liquids outside the vehicle for safety and odor reasons. Proper mounts will lock them in place – important for off-road where a loose jerry could be disastrous. We plan their position on the rack for balance (e.g., putting weight over the roof supports) and for accessibility when refueling or using water.

  • Hi-Lift Jack & Shovel Mounts: Not exactly “storage” in terms of gear, but these mounts get bulky recovery tools out of your boot and onto the roof rack. A jack and shovel strapped to the roof rack frees interior space and looks the part of a well-equipped 4WD. We have sturdy brackets for these, and even can mount things like an Axe or Maxtrax via dedicated holders (Maxtrax often go flat on the rack with quick-release pins).

  • Cargo Barriers & Nets: If you don’t have a full cargo barrier, a cargo net can be a quick way to restrain items. We fit anchor points in wagons or use existing ones, and provide elastic or strap nets that go over your load. This is great for preventing bags or groceries from toppling, and for when you pack to the roof on trips.

  • Tie-Down Points: Utes often have lashing hooks, but wagons sometimes lack them. We can install additional tie-down points on floors or walls of the cargo area (using rivnuts or backing plates to handle loads). This way you can ratchet strap a fridge or generator down firmly. In canopies or custom builds, we plan tie-down rails or tracks so you have adjustable points to suit different cargo sizes.

  • Slide-Locks and Latches: For drawers or slides, we ensure all latches work properly (many have “lock-in, lock-out” so they won’t slam shut or drift out on angles). We can add extra locks if you want to secure a drawer with a padlock or key (some come with this standard). It’s little details like this that keep your storage solution functional and safe even when bouncing around off-road.
